Customization Guide

Our Wedding Collection offers a range of thoughtfully curated suites. Each suite allows customization options for Printing Method, Paper, Envelope Color, Ink Color(s), and Embellishments. We recommend that you choose a suite that best captures your wedding style and customize it from there. If you don't see anything you like, we can create a custom suite for you from scratch.

HOW TO ORDER

Let us know your information, design selections, and wording in our Questionnaire. We’ll use this to create your personalized proposal and digital proof. We have several recommendations for wording and etiquette below. Once received, we will send you an invoice and contract; 50% is due to begin the design process.

2. QUESTIONNAIRE & DEPOSIT

Once a deposit is received, we will send you a pdf proof within 5 business days (or more for custom invites). Up to 3 rounds of proofs are included with your order.  For custom orders, allow at least 15 days for the initial proof.  Printing begins after you sign off! The remaining balance is due before shipping or pick-up. You’re done! Throw a stamp on it and kiss em goodbye!

3. PROOF & SIGN OFF

The invitations in our house collection are just a sample of what you can create with our designs. Use it as a starting point for your invitations, but make it your own with our customization options detailed below.

MATTE PAPER colorS

PAPER

Our standard house paper stocks range from 110# - 130#. Our papers have a subtle textured "eggshell" finish and they letterpress and foil beautifully.

STANDARD 1-PLY

Available in our 1-ply stock only.  We can source handmade paper for your suite, giving it a soft, romantic look. This paper selection is only available with letterpress or foil printing, and we require 8 weeks of production time. We do not print on handmade paper you supply.

HANDMADE PAPER

Stand out with our sturdy 2-ply cotton paper (left). Ranging from 196# - 236#, we love this stock because adds a nice weight and elevates your suite. Suitable for all print methods.

DOUBLE THICK 2-PLY

LETTERPRESS INK COLORS

Please note, there may be a slight variation between digital and letterpress inks, due to the handmade element and difference in printing techniques. For custom Pantone ink mixes, a $45 fee will be applied.

Embellishments

We believe that the beauty of paper is found in the details. We have curated a number of invitation embellishments that will elevate your suite. Browse our add-ons that will add to the elegance of your invitation suite such as envelope liners, wax seals, silk ribbon, and vellum wraps. Only available with your purchase of Paper Mint Press stationery.

ENVELOPE LINERS

Envelope Liners are one of our most popular suite additions. We have sourced and created a library of beautiful artwork to coordinate with any of our suites. Custom liners can also be created with your wedding monogram or custom venue illustration. We assemble the liners into the envelopes for you, so no assembly is required on your part.

WAX SEAL DESIGNS

Wax seals are such a beautiful way to seal your envelopes or vellum wraps. We can create a custom wax stamp with your monogram that you can use time and time again or we can create individual pre-made seals with an adhesive backing.

WAX SEAL COLORS

More colors are available upon request. Our minimum order for wax seals is a quantity of 50.

Though we carry 3/4"-1.5" seals, our most popular size is the 1" round seal. All of our seals are created with an organic edge.

We also carry oval and square shapes.

SILK RIBBON

Our handcrafted crepe silk ribbon is 1.5" in width and has a raw frayed edge for a soft romantic look.

If you purchase silk ribbon for your suite, we'll handle the assembly so you don't have to.

HELPFUL WORDING TIPS

REPLY CARD

WORDING & TIMELINE

Your "respond by" date depends on your venue, but typically is set about 1-2 months prior to your wedding date. Feel free to get creative with the wording, but here are some ideas:

Accepts with pleasure
Declines with regret

Joyfully accepts
Regretfully declines

I’ll be there!
I’ll celebrate from afar!

LIMITING # oF GUESTS

If you would like to limit the number of seats held for the household, we indicate this by writing:

We have reserved _ seat(s) in your honor.
(You must pre-fill in the # by hand)

Another strategy is to write in each invited guest name on the Reply Card (pre-fill it for them) so it's clear who is invited.

It's also best to be specific about addressing who is invited on the outer envelope.

If you need to collect meal options, we usually request guests to initial next to their entree choice.

Please let us know what the choices are when filling out our invitation questionnaire.

We can also use graphics to indicate meal options instead of writing out "Beef, Chicken, Vegetarian" - please request this in the questionnaire.

MEAL OPTIONS

If your wedding is adults only, some polite ways of informing guests are as follows:

Adults-only affair.

We request this to be an adults-only event.

Please note this will be an adults-only celebration.

We respectfully request no children at the reception.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate children – thank you for your understanding.

We hope this etiquette guide is helpful for you when deciding your wording for your stationery. However, we would like to remind you that while adhering to traditional etiquette can be useful, it's okay to also break the rules sometimes! If you prefer more casual wording because that's what matches your wedding and your personality as a couple, we gladly encourage you to do so!
